Regulatory Affairs and Standards
The opening videos of the “Regulatory Affairs and Standardization” Tack in the “Academy” phase of SET XP 2020 will introduce the new Ministry of Communications, its structure, objectives and how its functions, with special emphasis on its Broadcasting Department.
Thereafter, videos in the format of tutorials, talks and interviews will deal with the new rules created within the regulations for broadcasting and ancillary services recently issued by the Ministry of Communications and by Anatel, explaining their coverage and applicability and illustrated with the corresponding procedure within the electronic means provided by Anatel and the MCom.
Decree no. 10.405/2020 and its effects, Ordinance no. 141/2020 and its criteria, as well as ordinances in the pipeline and expected to be issued during the development phase of the “Academy” will be dealt with. Resolution no. 721/2020, and the supplementary technical requisites acts with their innovations, will also be dealt with.
Adaptation of the Mosaico System, and its use in every situation, will be dealt with in detail, providing important guidance for professionals throughout Brazil.
The debate will cover important issues figuring on the agenda for the year 2020, like the fate of the remaining balance of the Auction of the 700 MHz Band, under analysis at the Steering Committee of Anatel, the ramifications of the Auction of the 3,5 GHz Band, which we expect to be allocated to the migration of C-Band domestic TVROs to the Ku-Band, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law – Law 13.709/18, which will require companies to adapt their internal processes, and regulatory asymmetry between media services which is facing a strong challenge from the most regulated sectors.
